This week, quite a busy one, tying up more limbs, and being on the lookout for aphids, I noticed something that realy caught my eye on the Spudakee plants. 2 Thumbs! For those of you growing this variety, is this what you see as well? And I didnt think I would notice this on the Cowlick Brandywines, until now. However the leaves are just a bit more sharper than the Spudakees, but still just as large. I hated to take a pic on a cloudy day, but it happens sometimes. Any thoughts?

Blane, what you see is a common thing where 2 secondary leaflets fuse onto the primary leaf. I call it a left right mitten and not a double one. Many of the PL varieties will exhibit this trait. Its just a super leaf form that has a large surface area for photosynthesis. Keep lookin though as those PL leaf forms are fascinating !!
