This morning I'll pick my first ripe tomato for 2010. Seeded 3/31, transplanted 5/20. It is a F2 plant from the cross (L. pimpinellifolium x Bonner) x (Cherokee Purple x Sungold). The earliness and concentrated fruit set comes from the female parent. It is probably two weeks earlier than SunSugar, planted at the same time. Attachments:

congrats frog on the first ripey of the season!!!...
betcha it cost you 10 bucks a pound ....but the cost is secondary to the pleasure derived from successfully growing it. keep em coming bro.....may you get a thousand more ripeys !!

large cherry size. Taste on the earliest F2 plant was a little disappointing, the other five are close behind, same general fruit size, hopefully better taste. I was hoping to get the taste from the CPSun parent.
