Don't get me wrong, I love my job. I am very happy to be in a position I enjoy with a good company. That said, I have been going crazy in this office. All I want to do is go out in the sunshine and pet and love on my tomato and pepper plants I love the smell of tomato plants, and some of them seem so close to blushing. Ah well, what can you do besides maybe pop home quick on a lunch break

PoyPoy, what about taking a containerized dwarf tomato or pepper plant to your office?
Although if you live close enough to work that you are able to visit with your garden on lunch then that's marvelous, but not everyone is.

Yes, I am less than 5 miles from my office, so it is a pretty good gig. I have thought about putting a pepper plant in the window, but I only get sunlight from 6am until about 9am in my office. I do have a nice view of a pond though

Does the office have lots of fluorescent lighting? If so, you just might have enough lighting with the supplemental to have peppers. Tickling them and talking to them when you're on your break would help to. ;D

I know the pain. I've grown a hardins miniature plant in my south facing windowsill with excellent results.

If the company has a flower bed ask if you could put a dwarf or 2 in there. Especially if you mention that anyone would be able to try them the company probably wouldn't mind.
Or maybe down by that pond you can see.
Anyway, you would be able to get YOUR tomato fix at lunch and break times.
Hubby used to have some cherry tomatoes in one of the flower beds at the golf course he worked at so the golfers could take a few as they played thru. It was actually quite a hit there.
