That is just awesome work you are doing. You should be very proud. The words patience and dedication come to mind when I see something like this. There seems to be a lot of work with crossing Sungold. Has anyone grown a bunch of F2 Sungold and instead of looking for physical characteristics, done a taste comparison and used that seedling as breeding stock? An ugly red could be the keeper of the Holy Grail of taste in Sungold's genes and is being overlooked. Also, what company holds the rights to Sungold? I would think that it would be important to know what market this tomato was bred for to help select which seedling would be best suited for bringing up in another color, shape, or size.
I have a bunch of unrelated questions but I won't hijack this post. I'll try to put something together in another post soon. Thanks for the pics. Well done.

Hey Pie!! Good to see you didnt leave us, from time to time to time not all see eye to eye, but, a little thought as to the other persons feeling and forsight is essential for a healthy relationship...heheh.. We are a small group, but we are growing daily, and have alot to offer, more than any other so called tomato forums out there, I know, i have seen them, not knocking them just sayin.....We do not read personal PMs like so called other forums, your privacy is essential, this is based on a true experience that I have had is is no reflection on this forum, it is my experience. A good scientific brawl is a good way to clear the air....just dont take it as a personal attack...lol Have a great day, and lets see some pics Hillbilly!!!

Hey Darth. I like this place. I wish I had some more pics. My season started the end of June/ first of July. I haven't had more than one or two pathetic little tomatoes a week in quite a while. I'm hoping for one last flush in September. Until then, I just look at you northern growers and dream.
