Still producing loads of smallish fruit that taste as good as indian stripe or cherokee purple in their august prime. The plants are enormous with dark green healthy foliage. One of my best dark fruited vars in 2010, hands down, and it could be a good market fruit... Apprarently it was a sport from Cherokee Purple. tatianastomatobase.com/wiki/Haley%27s_Purple_CometThe cross I wish I had made: haley's purple comet x san marzano pink. I was a bit skeptical since it took so long to ripen, for a small fruit, but I will definitely grow it again next year.

I used the term sport erroneously. Likely to be an accidental crosss.

In addition to Tatiana and Carol (both mentioned in Tatiana's Tomato Base) of course you can get this tomato from WBF ( www.wildboarfarms.com ). Brad's blurb: Wonderful large cherry tomato. Sweet, productive with rich "dark tomato" flavor. Originally from Cherokee Purple.
