Hope it's only temporary. I've been remembering a year (1994 I think) when snow came in October and never left until late April... Yuck!

First snow, really? We've been seeing snow for at least 3 weeks in this part of Zone 5a. Personally, I'd rather see snow cover than all the ice we had last yr. Losing electric for over a week was not the highlight of my yr. I was damn glad we have a woodstove.

Woodstove, water source for you and the critters, battery operated radio for tunes and news, oil lamps for reading... It's just the "no internet" that would get me for that long...

First snow of the year here this morning. Not much more than a half inch or so, but enough to bring out the idiots on the roads.
