All I know is that I got Black Cherry from TGS the first year they offered it. While the seeds were difficult to germinate that year, the resulting fruit matched the TGS description and photo exactly. In all of my growouts of my own saved seed, I have never had any differences in plant habit, shape, size, fruit color/size/taste or productivity. So, I have no doubts that I have what Vince Sapp developed and sold as Black Cherry. If anyone needs seed, let me know.... Lee Can I nudge you on that, I simply want to see if there will be any difference between yours and mine. Thanks for the offer

Black Cherry is one of my 53 varieties coming along in the greenhouse. It's almost time to put them out but I'm not quite ready, the weather sure is hot enough, even though the calendar says it's a couple weeks early.

Very interesting thread!!! ;D
I'm pretty sure my original Black Cherry seed came from Victory.
