LOL, I really didn't think this thread was gonna go anywhere! So I got the nic-name from my neighbors. When we moved here, we live along a highway there were these ditch lilies that run down both sides of the highway well the city was cutting the sides of the road and I ran down there and told them to leave them there and i would take care of the easement so for like a mile or 2 on both sides of the road they whacked all the lilies down and people just in reference to me would say "you know that guy down the road the daylily dude".

Come to think of it, a couple year's ago over at HG I stumbled on a thread with a name-calling rant by an authoritarian administrator from another forum. Peculiar and paranoid to say the least. Oh, yeah. I picked my nick from the Fender guitar I play, the Stratocaster.

Stratocaster huh? I never would have guessed. I thought perhaps it might have been a Strat-divarius Violin ;D

When they ask me if I play lead guitar , I tell 'em I play loud guitar! haha. My main Strat is called "Barney" for his Midnight Blue color. Under certain lighting he appears black.

While researching a US Cavalry folkloric location, I stumbled upon RinTinTin, and it fit my theme @ the moment. Since I am planning on relocating soon, I needed something that did NOT fit my present location (Seattle), but represented the future (the new me).

One of the drummers I was in a band with as a kid started calling me "mule". Mule is a variation of my last name. So I went with "mule" when I started chatting on the internet. However, over at another forum, certain moderators in the private moderator gossip thread, got all bent out of shape about people using different nicks/IDs forum to forum (should we ban/forbid etc?). So I purposely chose this variation and use different ones at other forums solely based on that particular bit of self-righteous pettiness. "Mulio" originally started long ago when goofing around on another IRC channel a bunch of us changed our nicks one day like we were rappers. "Mulio" was a play on Coolio.

Talking of rappers, my favourite is FurQ with the classic 'Uzi Lover':

As for my user name, it is what some people in my family, especially my nephew and neice, call me for short. (My real name is Matthew).
