I really like the Norfolk Pine. We have not purchased one and I am not sure they will live in my area, but they sure are neat looking. Paul, Norfolk Island Pine is not winter hearty in Nebraska. So, your flirting with bonsai. A NIP will need to live indoors from October to May in NE. Somekinda sunny window is in order too.

What do you mean? Is Tom not doing well? Seems Mrs W. job is being outsourced. Seems to me that can't be good for potato research.

If I could get a russet potato that would set seed. I'd be a happy man. Clonal planting isn't practicle for me,

.One guy I heard of had real bad health issues fought for several years to get his.And when he did finally get it he passed away shortly after that. You can thank republican (house and senate) majorities for this. This is exactly their intent.

I dunno kids. It doesn't sound that good for the Wagners. If you really do want some of his cool seeds to do grow out with sooner may be better than never.
My check went out in the mail...

Yes, go with a lawyer. Binder and Binder will do. They all charge too much but take their cut out of the first check.

Pick a squash that resembles the census you are likely to cook for. If your not gonna make 300 pies any time soon, Atlantic Giant might not your best choice. The old Hubbard could weight fourty pounds+. Pick a baby version...

Verja's Paradjz for a big tomato, Cows Tit for a paste, Esthers cherry (bespeaks itself)
Although there are many 'big' tomatoes that are gonna get top billing for your first category. In a like vein there are lots of cows-horn shaped pastes people really like over romas. Cherry tomatoes have probably a hundred of more 'most yummy' cultivars out there.

Without ever getting a full provinance, Brandywine is one I had several false starts in NH. If you get one of the laggards and live with a short season please try a different source for this cultivar.
As this thread avere's there be better cultivars out there.

Connecticutt feild pumpkin has ah um a distinct odor when being boiled, I might gut it and roast it in largish peices, before baking into pies.
Boiling makes it too wet IMO. stanky too.

ThessalonĂki comes in ox heart too? Never have seen it listed. What is it like? Kevin Kevin I'm a little short of seed right now. You'll have to subscribe to tomatomania at yahoogroups dot com and suck up to the seed bank manager there; Janet Abramson. She does SASE give aways pretty promptly. I suspect the oxheart has nothing in common with the globe shaped slicer in OP collections besides the name. Um, Trudi Davidoff "might" still have some--but thats a long shot.

My list is going to be short. I need to plant enough of each to make some seed packets up this fall.
Tentatively: Esther's, Thessaloniki Oxheart, "a" red (I'm not sure yet), Longkeeper.
For the rest of the garden: garlic, an onion, lettuce, carrot/radish, Alan's corn.
