Sounds good guys. Just for the record, the original Big Beef x Eva Purple Ball cross was made by Darrel Jones in AL. I grew two F2 plants which I ordered from him last season. They both produced very similar blemish-free slightly flattened beautiful pink fruit. I am growing two F3 plants this year from the same F2 seed.

Dave showed me one of his Black Cherry plants last week with a similar deformity. I have two or three plants now showing similar symptoms to the plant in the pic below. I've seen it before but have never really heard an accurate diagnosis. I don't see any signs of pests. Seems to happen to the newer foliage. Anyone?

Glad you made it tz. Those really sound like some interesting crosses. I like the Kosovo x [LGSxGS]. A dwarf heart would be quite interesting.

Hi tz. I'm not sure I follow. Are you growing all 29 of them out? If so, I would keep the best tasting ones. Thats the most important thing to me. True PL rugose dwarves are fairly uncommon so hopefully you get something good out of those two. Maybe with the multiflora trait too like LGS. Good luck and welcome aboard.

Looks like a bit of sunscald to me. You may want to change your watering habits to soaking the base of the plant rather then wetting the foliage. Especially over night.

J - HOLY SMACK THANKS !!! I would be thrilled to get a handful of crowns to get in a spot I have! Do they tolerate shade - or need full sun Please let me know ! ~ T They need full sun, but I'm sure they will tolerate some shade and still produce.

Looks like 12 in some beds and 8 in others? JT, what did you base the number of plants per bed on? Determinate = 12 Indeterminate = 8? And at the risk of being told I'm Off Topic (again), what's growing in the back beds? I see bean towers behind the asparagus, but it appears to be a cole crop (brussels?) under a hoop in the very back? Well, actually its 10 in all beds. ;D Except my dwarf bed which has 16 plants. The beds are 4'x12'. I have tried 12 plants per bed and may need to do that again come next year to fit more plants, but 10 seems to be the perfect fit with adequate room between plants for good airflow. You are off-topic again. ;D Yes, pole beans and broccoli. The broccoli is actually under bird netting. House finches will destroy the heads if I don't protect them. Look at the picture below to see what I mean. You can see the holes in the foliage where they perch while dining!

Haha...yes. ;D
I have it on good authority that tomorrow is, in fact, Landarc's real birthday.
